Daniel Bennett Group played to a packed house at Outpost 186 in Cambridge, MA. The show also featured Brunel Rivera Method and the Powers Jazz Ensemble.  February 25, 2007 Daniel Bennett records the final tracks for "The Legend of Bear Thompson." The album was recorded in Rochester, New York at Finger Lakes Community College.  February 9, 2007 Daniel Bennett Group's "A Nation of Bears" reviewed in the February issue of Metronome Magazine.  January 17, 2007 The Legend of Bear Thompson...It's Coming!  Daniel Bennett continues to perform with longtime collaborators Chris Hersch and John Servo. In addition, Bennett has recently formed a side project with well known guitarist Brant Grieshaber (www.rbrantg.com) and New York- based percussionist Sean Jefferson (www.seanjefferson.com). In November of 2007, Bennett was approached by Rochester-based producer/engineer Stephen Fortunato. The two decided on a new recording project that would feature Bennett's newly formed trio. What blossomed is the creation of the second recording installment of the Nation of Bears trilogy, entitled The Legend of Bear Thompson. The group is heading to Rochester, New York on January 24 to record the new album at Finger Lakes Community College. Stay tuned...
